Propagazione soddisfacente quest'oggi, tanti collegamenti e skip che mi hanno permesso di arrivare anche abbastanza lontano (VK2EHQ Australia). Si continua anche con il diploma legato al 75^ anniversario dell'URE (https://75aniversario.ure.es/) e vediamo in che posizione riuscirò a classificarmi alla fine di questo evento. Oltre 50 QSO messi a log solo questa mattina, si prosegue.

Satisfactory propagation today, many connections and skips that allowed me to get quite far (VK2EHQ Australia). We also continue with the diploma linked to the 75th anniversary of the URE (https://75aniversario.ure.es/) and let's see in what position I will be able to rank at the end of this event. Over 50 QSOs logged this morning alone, we continue.

Impegni lavorativi mi hanno tenuto lontano dalla radio, dal blog e dal forum in questi ultimi giorni. Poca attività ma con la soddisfazione di aver collegato sui 15 metri, nel pomeriggio del 17 aprile, A8OK (Liberia) e oggi sui 10 metri (banda più difficile degli 80 metri, almeno dal mio QTH), TT8XX (Chad).

Work commitments have kept me away from the radio, the blog and the forum in recent days. Little activity but with the satisfaction of having connected on 15 meters, on the afternoon of April 17, A8OK (Liberia) and today on 10 meters (more difficult band than 80 meters, at least from my QTH), TT8XX (Chad).

Giornata iniziata presto con un pò di attività in portatile. Insieme al fidato Yaesu FT818, alla Zeppelin di IW2EN installata su una spiderbeam da 12 metri a cui ho tolto gli ultimi 2 steli per avere un supporto più robusto, ed al nuovo arrivato, il DYC 8x7 ver.3.0, ho portato a casa un bel numero di collegamenti. Molti i contatti italiani e qualcuno anche in ambito europeo e tutti mi hanno chiesto che setup utilizzavo per arrivare così bene in condizioni, comunque, difficili (dei 5 watt iniziali, fra cavo, un-un e perdite varie se in antenna ne saranno arrivati 3 mi posso ritenere fortunato). Il DYC da una grossa mano in fonia e unito alla modifica del condensatore dell'MH31 permette di guadagnare moltissimo. Come mi disse tempo fa un caro amico radioamatore: in condizioni difficili sono i dettagli a fare la differenza. Il pomeriggio invece è passato con qualche QSO sui 15 metri in FT8 e poi solo sui 20 in FT4. Quasi 100 contatti messi a log anche oggi e tanti collegamenti con le stazioni impegnate in questo award: https://75aniversario.ure.es/ .Insomma, una giornata decisamente "croccante".

The day started early with some laptop activity. Together with the trusty Yaesu FT818, the IW2EN Zeppelin installed on a 12 meter spiderbeam from which I removed the last 2 stems to have a more robust support, and the new arrival, the DYC 8x7 ver.3.0, I brought home a nice number of connections. Many Italian contacts and some also in Europe and they all asked me what setup I used to arrive so well in difficult conditions (of the initial 5 watts, between cable, un-un and various losses if 3 will have arrived in the antenna I can consider myself lucky). The DYC gives a big hand in speech and combined with the modification of the MH31 capacitor it allows you to gain a lot. As a dear radio amateur friend told me some time ago: in difficult conditions it is the details that make the difference. The afternoon instead passed with a few QSOs on 15 meters in FT8 and then only on 20 in FT4. Almost 100 contacts logged today too and many connections with the stations involved in this award: https://75aniversario.ure.es/ . In short, a decidedly "crispy" day.

15 metri eccezionali nel pomeriggio e nella serata di oggi. Segnali che arrivavano da oriente e occidente e collegamenti facili in entrambe le direzioni. Israele, Russia, Canada, Stati Uniti, Argentina e tanti altri, sommersi nel pile up (Jamaica, Martinica, Est Malaysia, Vietnam), che mi sarebbe piaciuto riuscire a mettere a log. In ogni caso, un pomeriggio soddisfacente.

15 exceptional meters this afternoon and evening. Signals coming from east and west and easy connections in both directions. Israel, Russia, Canada, the United States, Argentina and many others, submerged in the pile up (Jamaica, Martinique, East Malaysia, Vietnam), that I would have liked to be able to log. In any case, a satisfying afternoon.

Poca attività oggi, fine pomeriggio e proseguimento di serata sui 20 metri. Propagazione stabile e skip che permettevano facilmente collegamenti europei e verso oriente. Al calar del sole situazione decisamente opposta, skip cortissimi e segnale che stentava a uscire dai confini nazionali.

Little activity today, late afternoon and continuation of the evening on 20 meters. Stable propagation and skip that easily allowed European and eastward connections. At sunset the situation was decidedly opposite, very short skips and a signal that it was struggling to leave the national borders.

Poca attività ieri e poco tempo per poter inserire il post della giornata. Qualche QSO sui 12 metri e uno solo sui 17 dove a differenza del giorno prima, la propagazione era veramente pessima. In compenso, nel pomeriggio ho ascoltato molti colleghi che hanno sfruttato l'E-sporadico sui 2 metri per fare bei collegamenti in ambito nazionale.

Little activity yesterday and little time to insert the day's post. A few QSOs on 12 meters and only one on 17 where, unlike the day before, the propagation was really bad. On the other hand, in the afternoon I listened to many colleagues who took advantage of the E-sporadic on 2 meters to make good connections at a national level.

Oltre 100 QSO messi a log anche quest'oggi, mattinata passata a fare un bellissimo giro in bici e attività radio iniziata quasi all'ora di pranzo. Skip medi come al solito, collegamenti facili in Europa e qualche sporadico collegamento verso oriente. Tranne i soliti radioamatori che non rispondono a prescindere dal chiamante, devo dire che è stata una giornata dove i contatti sono stati semplici e costanti nel tempo. Più tardi si riprende con un pò di fonia sugli 80 metri sperando di incrociare in frequenza qualche voce amica.

Over 100 QSOs logged today too, morning spent on a beautiful bike ride and radio activity started almost at lunchtime. Medium skips as usual, easy connections in Europe and some sporadic connections towards the East. Except for the usual radio amateurs who don't answer regardless of the caller, I must say that it was a day where contacts were simple and constant over time. Later we resume with some voice on 80 meters hoping to find some friendly voices on the frequency.

Discreto numero di QSO anche stasera, propagazione solamente a tratti molto aperta e skip che come al solito stentavano a portare il segnale fuori Europa. Collegamenti degni di nota di questa giornata, 7Q6M (Malawi) e BU2AD (Taiwan).

Poca attività e pochi collegamenti stasera, una ventina di QSO messi a log, skip medi e contatti facili in ambito europeo. Pskreporter segnalava che con le condizioni propagative presenti in quel lasso di tempo, il mio nominativo raggiungeva sia stazioni dell'estremo oriente che olteoceano ma al tempo stesso, da quelle latitudini, non ho ascoltato alcun segnale di chiamata nonostante, in linea teorica, se il mio segnale arrivava sin li, avrei dovuto ricevere segnali dai posti dove esso cadeva. Come sempre, i misteri e le stranezze propagative danno spunti di riflessione e invitano ad approfondire gli aspetti teorici degli eventi ionosferici.

Little activity and few connections this evening, around twenty QSOs logged, medium skips and easy contacts within Europe. Pskreporter reported that with the propagation conditions present in that period of time, my callsign reached both stations in the Far East and overseas but at the same time, from those latitudes, I did not hear any call signal despite, in theory, if the my signal reached there, I should have received signals from the places where it fell. As always, mysteries and propagative oddities give food for thought and invite us to delve deeper into the theoretical aspects of ionospheric events.

Anche questo pomeriggio è stato dedicato esclusivamente ai 20 metri con skip che hanno continuato ad essere medi sino al tramonto. Dopo il calar del sole invece, collegati senza grossi problemi e quasi consecutivamente, due stazioni del Sud Africa (ZS6AF - ZS4JAN) e poco prima di chiudere la radio anche una stazione oltreoceano: ZP4JFR (Puerto Rico). Oltre 100 QSO messi a log, direi pienamente soddisfatto.

This afternoon was also dedicated exclusively to 20 meters with skips which continued to be medium until sunset. After sunset, however, two South African stations (ZS6AF and ZS4JAN) were connected without major problems and almost consecutively, and shortly before closing the radio also an overseas station: ZP4JFR (Puerto Rico). Over 100 QSOs logged, I would say fully satisfied.
